What is Wok Hei?
Wok Hei, or the "breath of the wok," is the signature flavour created when food is cooked over extremely high heat in a seasoned cast-iron wok. It gives dishes like our Chow Mein and Yang Chow Fried Rice their smoky aroma, crisp texture and rich flavour.
Is your dim sum made fresh?
Yes! Our dim sum is handmade and steamed to order. From Har Gow and Siu Mai to Soup Dumplings and BBQ Pork Buns, each order is freshly prepared. Please allow approximately 15 minutes for your dim sum to be ready.
Do you serve authentic Hong Kong-style Chow Mein?
Yes. Our Chow Mein is prepared the traditional Hong Kong way with soft noodles stir-fried over high heat to develop authentic Wok Hei. It's very different from the crunchy, deep-fried noodles often found in Western-style Chinese takeout.
